Laurel Elementary School Library Opening: Message from Nanoy Rafael (in Filipino) 10/30/2013 Nanoy's Message: I believe that the book will save our world. The book is the key to solving its problems. Not only does the book give us knowledge, it also gives us the ability to further develop our imagination. While knowledge helps us develop ourselves, imagination helps us develop ourselves to be of service for others. So, if there are plenty of books, imagination will flourish. And if imagination flourishes, the world will be a better place. Thanks a lot. About Nanoy: Nanoy Rafael is a writer, translator and teacher. He served for three seasons as the head writer of the revival of the children's show, Batibot, aired on TV5. His book, Naku, Nakuu, Nakuuu!, was recently awarded with the prestigious Peter Pan Prize by the International Board on Books for Young People -- Sweden. He sincerely believes that books will make the world a better place. Thank you for joining Laurel's special day, Nanoy!
