TODAY IS GIVING TUESDAY! 11/26/2018 Today’s Giving Tuesday! We invite you to join us on this global day of giving; Give children in the Philippines the chance to go to school. Our Giving Tuesday goal is to raise £1,000, and we only need £300 to reach our target! Every child should have the opportunity to go to school. Click here to donate. GIVING TUESDAY, IT'S TOMORROW! 11/25/2018 Because of the cost of education and financial concerns, many families in the Philippines are forced to focus on one of their child's education at a time. This is true at Sambat Trust. Most of our scholars have at least one school-age brother or sister who is not in school. This Giving Tuesday, give a child the chance to go to school. Click here to donate. GIVING TUESDAY, ONLY 2 DAYS TO GO! 11/24/2018 Because of the cost of education and financial concerns, many families in the Philippines are forced to focus on one of their child's education at a time. This is true at Sambat Trust. Most of our scholars have at least one school-age brother or sister who is not in school. This Giving Tuesday, give a child the chance to go to school. We invite you to join us on this global day of giving; Give children in the Philippines the chance to go to school. Click here to donate. JASMIN, GIVING TUESDAY 11/21/2018 After graduating from college last year, Jasmin joined the accounting department for a video game development company. Having a child while still in college was a challenging time for Jasmin. But she was strong-willed; she must graduate from college to give her son a better future. Jasmin’s focus now is to work hard, so she can provide for her son. She’ll always be thankful to Sambat Trust supporters for helping her through this period in her life. ERIC, GIVING TUESDAY 11/20/2018 Following on from yesterday’s post, Eric joined Kristel on the local Alternative Learning System program last year. Eric had looked for work on construction sites; in the hope that he could earn enough money to pay for his own education. He was paid 80 pesos (just over £1) a day, when there was work available. Eric's so happy to be back in school; he wants to be an engineer. We hope you’ll choose to celebrate Giving Tuesday with us. So we can help more young people like Eric stay in school. KRISTEL, GIVING TUESDAY 11/17/2018 Kristel’s family could not afford to keep her in school after Kristel’s mother became ill. She didn’t go to school for two years. Thanks to the Sambat Trust Scholarship, Kristel returned to school last year. Last year was not easy for her. She was often teased for being much older than her classmates; but she was determined to continue her studies. Sambat Trust offered Kristel the opportunity to take the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program, so she would be in the correct school year come June 2018. She grabbed the opportunity. On top of school, Kristel attended the local ALS program every Saturday for five months. Now she’s with classmates of the same age and feels much happier at school. Last year taught Kristel a lot. She showed courage and perseverance. And we’re very proud of her. MARK, GIVING TUESDAY 11/16/2018 Mark is a maths teacher at a local senior high school. Now in work, he’s able to support his family financially; this includes his younger brother’s education. Mark expressed how grateful he was to Sambat Trust supporters who helped him graduate from college. GIVING TUESDAY 2018 11/15/2018 After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. Save the date. Join Us!
